The most difficult thing is the decision to act. The rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward.

Specialties
I have an interest in supporting individuals to overcome symptoms and experiences of trauma. My approach to treating trauma involves a focus on the cognitive and physiological manifestation of trauma in the mind and body. Additionally, I am a clinical counselling hypnotherapist (C.Hyp) with a trauma specialization. I support clients to gain alignment with their true selves in the context of recovery from trauma. Treatment for trauma happens at a different pace for each person; recovery cannot be rushed. I work with clients to gain strategies for listening to the body; and feeling, rather than avoiding, uncomfortable sensations.
I understand that there is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy. I practice from a blend of evidence-based therapies, integrating a range of models depending on the needs and preferences of each client. In sessions with me, clients can expect my style to be flexible, inviting, and understanding.
As a certified professional coach and leadership trainer, I also facilitate leadership workshops and workplace cultural transformation for both public and private sector clients. In my off hours, I can be found spending time with family and friends, running, and practicing yoga with my dog who is a pro at the Downward Dog pose!
Many Employee (and Family) Assistance Programs (EAP/EFAP) and group benefit programs cover services rendered by a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). My CRPO number is 13661.
